Vintage 1950s Cotton Dress w Abstract Novelty Print Size XL

This is a wonderful 50s era cotton dress with an abstract print in two tones of green, orangey red and black, with dropped out white.  The dress is made in a sleeveless style with a mid-calf length.  It has a sweetheart neckline, and accented waist that cinches with a matching belt.  There is a patch pocket applied to either side, each decorated with a butterfly shaped “flap” that has gold rickrack and crystal rhinestones affixed to it.  It closes with a brass metal zipper down the side.  The dress is unlined

Sizing:  No size is indicated - this should fit an extra large size, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, keeping the style of the garment in mind (please measure your body or a similar garment that you might own for comparison):

Shoulders:  20 1/2” across

Bust: 47” around

Waist: 40” around, uncinched, but meant to be cinched with the belt

Hips:  52” around, but meant to fall loosely

Overall length: 46“, measured flat from the top of the shoulder to the hemline

Condition:  It is in clean condition but does have some slight colour fading, noticeable on the black colour in the upper area.  The waistline requires a small stitching, very minor.  Otherwise, the dress presents itself very well

This is a wonderful 50s dress, unusual to find in this sizing - fun butterfly form pockets, nice style and striking period print!
