This is a vintage 1960s minaudiere made in Italy by Gucci. The interior is stamped “Made in italy by Gucci” - this particular stamping was used from the early 1950s through to the mid-1960s. The purse is made in the form of a small clutch. The exterior is made of gold toned metallic basketweave with a spring loaded bar type clasp. The interior is lined in lined in cream coloured silk with a pocket built onto either side.
Sizing: The purse measures 7” wide by 4” high by 1 1/4” thick, when closed.
Condition: It is in very good condition with the exception of a few small make-up marks on the lining, most appearing around or below the logo (see last close-up photo). The marks look like rouge or lipstick - there might be some way to clean this, but it isn’t anything major in any case. I think that there is a similar, but barely noticeable mark on the top of the clasp, really very minor. Otherwise, this minaudiere presents itself very well.
This is a very desirable piece - original Gucci minaudiere, super quality, gorgeous evening accent!
