This is a 1940s to early 1950s era mens fashion satin tie featuring a wonderful S shaped design in bands of red, yellow and tan pebbled with black, against a violet blue background that is debossed with a geometric square motif.  The label reads “Alida”.  It is made of a rayon satin - rayon was the fabric of choice starting during WWII due to the shortage of silk.  The necktie is in very good condition - no wear, tear or staining.  The tie measures 51” in length and has a width of 4 1/8” at its widest.  This is a striking tie - great period neckwear!
