This is a 1940s to early 1950s era mens fashion tie featuring a wonderful hand painted wild stallion horse rearing up on its hind legs - cacti appear in the background.  The label reads “Hand Painted Sport Scenes Exclusively by Modern”.  It is appears to be made of a wool or wool blend fabric in a pebbled finish.  The necktie is in very good condition - no wear, tear or staining.  The tie measures 50” in length and has a width of 4 3/8” at its widest.  This is a striking tie - great period neckwear!
