This is a gorgeous vintage 1940s satin nightgown with gathered bodice and gathered short sleeves with a top “puff”. The satin is cream white coloured. It has a rounded neckline and the neckline and sleeve cuffs are trimmed in lace. It fits over the head and the bodice cinches at the neckline with a drawstring. It has a wide band waist that cinches at the back with a ribbon tie attached to either side.

Condition: This vintage 1940s satin nightgown is in excellent condition, very clean with no wear, tear, staining or odour. Because this was most likely part of a wedding trousseau, it looks like it saw little or no use
