Vintage 1940s Ladies Suit Jacket Grey Gabardine WWII Era Size M

$95.00

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a vintage 1940s era suit jacket made of grey coloured gabardine wool.  The jacket most likely dates to WWII due to the grey colour - coloured dyes were sourced mostly from Europe and the war interrupted supply, so many garments were made in neutral colours like grey, beige or khaki.  It has high-set wide notched lapels, rounded at the edges, square padded shoulders, long sleeves with turned cuffs, tab and button decorated shallow side pockets and does up the front with four covered buttons.  The jacket is cut to accentuate the waist.  It is lined in a grey toned satin.

Label:  None

Sizing: No size is indicated, but this should fit a small to medium size.   Please note the following measurements, taking the style of the jacket into account:

Bust: 36” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 27” around
