This is a vintage 1940s era suit jacket featuring a wonderful blue coloured gabardine wool. The jacket has a pointy collar and high set rounded lapels, padded squared shoulders, long sleeves with turned notched cuffs and does up the front with five matching covered buttons. The same buttons decorate either front shoulder and the collar. There is a pocket at either side with its top turned, which looks somewhat like a flap. The jacket is lined in violet satin. The jacket is tailored to accentuate the waist.
Color: Lovely tone of blue
Label: Simpson’s. Simpson’s was a Canadian department store founded by Robert Simpson in 1858. It was bought by the Hudson’s Bay Company in 1978.
