Vintage 1940s Handbag Box Purse

This is a 1940s handbag made of brown snakeskin. This 1940s handbag has a snakeskin handle affixed to the top.  The interior has a zippered pocket built into its centre, so that there is an open compartment to either side of it.  The handbag has a flap that is secured with a swivel brass square.  The purse is made is a somewhat box shape. It measures 6” in width with a depth of about 3 7/8” across its centre and has a height of 5” exclusive of its handle - the handle has a drop of about 5 1/2”.  It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear - maybe a couple of light scratches to the hardware, really minor.  There are no maker’s markings or label.  This is a wonderful 1940s handbag - nice quality, very cute!
