Vintage 1940s Evening Dress Floral Printed Silk Gown Sz M L

This is a 1940s evening dress that is made of floral printed pink silk.  This 1940s evening dress comes with a matching shawl.  It has open shoulders with cap sleeves, a wide V neckline and back.  The waist is defined by a matching faux belt and the skirt falls in drapes to an ankle length. It is unlined and does up at the side with a fine tooth pink painted metal Talon brand zipper.  The fabric is accented with clusters of pink sequins.  The shawl is tied at its ends and has no hooks or other closures, so it simply hangs.

Label: None, but this 1940s evening dress most likely made by a professional seamstress - this is very well made

Color:  Pink with periwinkle blue, purple, two tones of green and white

Material: Excellent quality silk, lovely to the touch 

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a medium to large size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking into account the style of the dress:

Shoulders:  22” across

Bust:  40” around, but should fit loosely

Waist:  30” around

Hips:  40” around, meant to fall loosely in drapes

Length:  54” measured flat

The shawl measure 15” in height at the back

Condition:  This 1940s evening dress is in very clean condition with no wear, tear or odour - this dress looks to have seen little use and has been well cared for over the years.
