Vintage 1930s Mushroom Casserole Tellurite by Faiencerie de Thulin Belgium

Brand Etsy

This is a wonderful basket form lidded casserole decorated with two mushroom and moss on its lid. It was made during the 1930s by the Faiencerie de Thulin of Thulin, Belgium under their Tellurite brand name. The base is impress marked with 1138 Made in Belgium Tellurite 1L. The casserole has two handles and is made of brown and beige toned glazed earthenware that is white on the interior. It measures 8 in diameter, exclusive of its handles, and has a height of about 3 1/4 to the top of the lid, exclusive of the mushrooms. The casserole is in good condition with the exception of extensive crazing on its interior, a result of being used. There is a bit of extra clay on the top of the lid, original to the manufacture, but otherwise, this is free of chips or cracks and displays well.
This is a wonderful old casserole - despite the interior crazing, a nice display piece!
