This is a lovely quality blue silk chiffon bed jacket that probably dates to the 1930s.  The piece is loose fitting and does up with four buttons that are covered with blue chiffon and lace over the chiffon.  It has a wide collar that is inset with lace at the neck and gathered in tucks at the lace so that it has a ruffled appearance.  The sleeves are made in a capelet or angel wing form.  Note that the piece was posed over a cream coloured slip.

Sizing: No size is indicated, but this should fit a small to medium size.  Please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the blouse into account:

Shoulders:  12 1/2” across from seam to seam

Sleeves:  10 1/2” from the shoulder seam

Bust: 38” around, taken under the arms, but it should fit loosely

Length:  17”, measured flat

Condition:  This bed jacket is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains, or odour - this has been very well preserved.

This is a gorgeous 1930s era bed jacket - very pretty tone of blue and lovely silk chiffon fabric!
