Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a wonderful 1930s-40s era brown straw beret hat.  The hat has an intricately structured straw decoration made up of three petalled floral forms emanating from a stem - please view the photos.  The opening is finished with grosgrain ribbon.

Label: The label reads “Creation Flore Deschamps Montreal”.  I have other hats by this maker and I can confirm that she was active during the 1930s and 40s.

Sizing: No size is indicated, as it is custom made.  Still, this should fit a smsll sized head.   Please note the following measurements:

Circumference of opening:  20 1/2” around the grosgrain ribbon

Diameter of hat:  11” across the top, measured flat

Condition:  The hat is in very clean condition - maybe some soiling to the label, but otherwise, no cracks, splits, wear or soiling.  This hat has been very well cared for over the years.

This hat features excellent quality straw with a wonderful straw decoration - sure to be noticed!
