Vintage 1920s Jacket Black Panne Velvet Ladies Size S M

This is a wonderful black panne velvet 1920s jacket.  This 1920s jacket has square padded shoulders, narrow standing collar, long sleeves with turned cuffs and slightly flared body.  The jacket closes with a metal hook and eye at the neck and three hooks and thread loops (the bottom thread loop is broken, however) down the front and with a chain connecting two buttons just below the collar.  I believe that the buttons are carved bakelite, but I haven’t tested them.  There are no pockets.  The jacket is lined in a printed floral pattern, possibly Russian influenced.

Sizing: No size is indicated, but this 1920s jacket should fit a small to medium size - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the fabric and the style of the jacket into account:

Shoulders:  16” across from shoulder sleeve seam to shoulder sleeve seam

Sleeves:  25” from the shoulder sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam:  19” 

Bust: 41” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 45” around

Overall length: 24“, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition: This 1920s jacket is in excellent condition with no noted wear, tear, marking or odour - this jacket looks to have seen little use and was well stored over the years.
