Vintage 1920s Bed Jacket Pink Crochet Wool with Satin Ribbon Trim Size L
This is a vintage 1920s crochet bed jacket, in soft blush-pink openwork and woven with satin ribbon trim throughout. Designed as a boudoir layer to be worn over a nightgown or negligee, the bed jacket was a common piece of women’s loungewear during the Art Deco period when heating systems were not always optimal.
The garment features a relaxed, draped silhouette with gently extended shoulders and elbow-length sleeves. The neckline and hem are finished with scalloped knit edging, while vertical and chevron-patterned knit panels are accentuated by pale pink satin ribbon threaded through the openwork.
There are no closures; the bed jacket is intended to fall loosely over the body, providing warmth and modesty without restricting movement. The longer front length and softly flared hem enhance the graceful line typical of late 1920s–early 1930s design.
Material: Wool knit, with satin ribbon trim.
Origin: Maker unknown; most likely made by an expert knitter for their own use
