This is a 1920s era advertising fan featuring an illustration of a young girl with two doves.  The back of the fan advertises the “Amherst Furniture Co.”.  It reads “Nous Achetons et Echangeons Les Meubles Usagés Nous Payons un Prix Libéral Appelez *Est 1080 Pour Notre Evaluateur 1223 Rue Amerst, Montreal”.  This translates to “We Buy and Exchange Used Furniture - We Pay a More than Fair Price - Call Est 1080 for our Appraiser”.  The fan is in very good condition except for some minor creasing to the cardboard at the top of the handle, a normal stress point caused by the fan action.  Despite this, this is a rare Quebec advertising fan for small Montreal business!
