Unused Vintage 1950s Cotton Pillowcases Pillow Slips for Commercial Hospital Use 42 NIP

This is a pair of pillowcases made for commercial use, hospitals or institutions - note the nurse graphic on the label. The pillowcases are still wrapped in their original cellophane. The label reads Tex-Made T.M. Regd Wearwell Pillow Slips Specially Designed for Hard Usage Made in Canada By Dominion Textile Co. Limited Montreal. Dominion Textile was founded in 1905 and closed in 1998 - it was a household name in Canada. The Tex-Made trademark was registered in 1947 - I would assume that these pillowcases date to the 1950s, possibly late 1940s. The label on the back reads One Pair Tex-Made Slips Size 42. There is a small perforation to the cellophane at one corner, so you would want to launder these, but they make an interesting display. The package measures 8 1/4 by 5 1/2 and weighs 9.6 oz. Rare - I havent been able to find another similar pair anywhere.
