Pair of Antique Bearded Iris Vases Hand Painted Enamel Thick Milk Glass 12.25

Brand Etsy

This is an antique pair of thick white opaque or milk glass vases that are hand painted in enamel paint. Each vase features a large bearded iris in purple on its front, with a daisy flower appearing below, against a sand toned yellow background. The only marks are a dot and slash on the underside (. /). There is also a handwritten note affixed to the underside of one vase that is written in Polish that appears to state different numbers and City Hall - I dont know what this means. The vases are quite large and impressive, measuring 12 1/4 in height with a diameter of about 7 at their widest. Im unsure of their origin, but Im thinking that with the Polish note, possibly Bohemian - they are certainly 19th century.
Unusual to find a pair of beautiful vases like this - gorgeous display pieces!
