Iittala Glass Finland Ultima Thule 3 Toed Serving Bowl 7 Tapio Wirkkala Design

This is a three toed round serving bowl made by Iittala of Finland in the Ultima Thule pattern. Ultima Thule was designed by Tapio Wirkkala and introduced in 1968. The “Ultima Thule design was inspired by the look of melting ice, so common in the Finnish winter environment. The bowl measures a little over 7 in diameter at its widest, 5 3/4 across its top opening and has a height of 4 1/4. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. This serving bowl can be used for vegetables or fruit - great mid century modern design that still works in todays modern decors!
