This is a gorgeous vintage Tescan sheepskin fur coat made to imitate a mink coat.  The coat dates to the 1950s and is beautifully styled with a narrow shawl-type collar, turned sleeve cuffs and cut with a wide flare to the hemline.  The coat does up with a loop and interior tie strap at the bottom, and two other loops at the centre front but the corresponding buttons are missing.  I purposely haven’t replaced these so that the next owner can position them in a place best for their particular fit.  There is a pocket built into either side and the coat is fully lined in brown satin.

Material label:  Made in England from Tescan Trade Mark Reg’d in Gt. Britain Fur Skins.  Tescan specialized in these sheepskin based imitation furs.

Maker label:  Admoir Fur Model Designed by Stephen Adler London.

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of fabric into account:

Shoulders:  15” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves:  25” long with the cuffs turned

Sleeve Inseam:  17”

Bust: 43” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 46” around

Hips:  50” around

Hemline:  66” around

Overall length: 44"

Condition:  Aside from the missing buttons and some reddish discolouration to the bottom of the lining, this coat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, staining.   There is a mild scent which is due to the fur cleaning product that was used years ago.  Sheepskin is quite robust, so there should be many years of use left in this coat with normal care.

This is a very stylish coat - sure to be noticed!
