Edwardian Lace Jabot Machine Valenciennes Net Lace w Pink Rosette

Edwardian Lace Jabot Machine Valenciennes Net Lace w Pink Rosette

$85.00

This is an original Edwardian lace jabot, dating to the early 20th century (c.1900–1910). Made of fine machine-made Valenciennes-style lace, it features delicate scalloped edges, fern-like motifs, and a soft pink silk rosette at the centre. These jabots were worn attached inside a lady’s high-collared blouse or shirtwaist, adding a soft cascade of lace at the neckline.

The jabot is constructed with a plain net upper band, which served as the backing or mounting section. This portion would sit inside the collar, while the beautifully gathered lace formed the visible front. The piece drapes in multiple tiers, tapering to a point, creating the classical Edwardian silhouette.
