This is a wonderful Edwardian era silk front waistcoat / vest featuring woven rope and chevron patterns arranged in vertical rows against a faille background. The back of the vest is made of a polished cotton that is double layered. The vest is made with wide cut front with narrow rounded lapels. It is cutaway at the bottom front, so as to finish in “points”. It closes with four matched plastic stud buttons.
The vest should fit a medium size. It measures 40” around the chest, taken at the bottom of the arm openings and 36” around the waist with the belt adjustment totally let out - both measurements are just, so you should be smaller than that for the vest to fit properly. It measures 10” across the top and 23” in length to the bottom points, measured flat. It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, and is clean and ready for use.
This is a very nice mens black waistcoat with attractive woven detailing...
