Demetrios Uomo Black Wool Tailcoat Men's 42R Formal White Tie Evening Tails Classy Montreal

This is a men's formal black tailcoat by Demetrios Uomo, retailed by Classy of Montreal. Made in the Dominican Republic from 100% wool, the coat is labelled size 42R.  The tailcoat is being sold with small defects at a very reasonable price - please note that no pants are included.

Demetrios Uomo was the men's formalwear line associated with designer Demetrios James Elias and Demetrios Licensing Ltd., best known for the Demetrios bridal and formalwear business. The Demetrios Uomo name was used for tuxedos and related men's formalwear beginning in 2007, dating this coat to approximately the late 2000s or 2010s. 

The coat is made in traditional evening-tailcoat form, with a short cutaway front and long divided tails at the back. It has broad satin-faced peak lapels, a satin-trimmed breast pocket and satin-covered buttons. The front closes with three buttons.

The back is tailored with long seams extending into the tails and has waist buttons. The interior is partially lined in grey.

The Classy label indicates that the coat was retailed through the Montreal formalwear company.

Condition

Very good condition overall. One of the buttons at the back waist is missing, and the right cuff has come unstitched and will require a repair. A competent tailor should be able to easily do the repair and supply a matching button.
