This elegant fine china Elka coffee set features the sleek shape designed by renowned Czech designer Jaroslav Ježek. The Elka coffee set was awarded the Grand Prix for design at the Brussels World’s Fair in 1958. This set is decorated in the Marianne pattern, a delicate floral and leaf design accented with soft colors and trimmed with fine gold edging. The coffee pot has a height of 9 1/2” to the top of the lid’s finial and each dessert plate has a diameter of 6 1/2”.

Markings: Each piece of this Elka coffee set is marked with a green and gold Fine Bohemian China backstamp, "Made in Czechoslovakia," along with the pattern name Marianne. This decal was used for export and is associated with Pirkenhammer production during the mid-20th century.
Date: Produced in Czechoslovakia, circa 1950s–1960s.
Condition: Excellent condition with no signs of use. Gold trim remains bright, and the design is crisp. No chips, cracks, or repairs.
