This is a very fine pair of hand knit lace crochet gloves. I’m not sure if these are technically crochet or knit, but the stitching is quite tight and intricate, yet the gloves have good stretch to them. They are in a light grey colour with some white trim at the opening. The yarn used has a sheen to it, possibly old natural rayon fibre. A lot of work went into making these - difficult to ascertain age because they are hand made, but certainly no newer than the 50s, and probably older. The gloves are in excellent condition and look unused.
Size: They should fit a medium size, probably a size 7. They have a length of 8 1/4” to the middle finger. They measure 2 1/2” across the palm, but as mentioned, have good stretch - I wear a size 7 and they fit me. The middle finger measures 2 3/4” in length, again, be aware of the stretch.
This is a wonderful pair of vintage gloves - beautiful quality!
