Art Deco 1930s Goebel Pottery Vase Rare Drip Glaze 7” Tall
This is an original art deco 1930s Goebel pottery vase, made in Germany by W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik. The base is impressed with the crowned “GW” mark and the form number VV 146/2, a shape and numbering system used by Goebel’s art-pottery department during the pre-war years. Based on this mark and model sequence, the vase dates to approximately 1936–1939.
The vase is finished in a striking teal-and-navy drip glaze, with vertical running patterns and soft mottling. The body has a ribbed midsection and an elegant flared rim and base, giving it a sculptural Art Deco profile.
