This is a wonderful 1920s flapper beaded evening bag featuring black and dark blue iridescent glass beads. The interior is one compartment that is lined in a blue fabric. This 1920s flapper beaded evening bag is made in a round shape and has a roped drawstring that one would either hold in one’s hands or tie to a belt. It has beaded looped fringe along the sides and bottom. The bag is similarly beaded front and back. These were used at a time when a woman only needed to carry minimal necessities with her on a night out on the town - makeup, money and keys.
Label: No label, but probably made in France
Size: 5” in diameter exclusive of fringe and drawstring.
Condition: This 1920s flapper beaded evening bag is in very good condition with no noted defect - it looks like it was well cared for over the years and presents beautifully.
