Antique Red Wing Union Stoneware Planter Brushware Tree Trunk Stump

This is an antique planter made by the Red Wing Union Stoneware Co., probably during the late 1910s or early 1920s. The planter is made in the form of a tree trunk stump and cold painted with flowers on its front. It measures 6 in diameter with a height of 4 1/2. It is in very good condition with the exception of a few surface chips on the front that look like burst glaze bubbles. Otherwise, there is some whitish staining and some soiling, to be expected for an item of its type and age - please view the photos. The interior is very clean and in great shape. The piece is unsigned, but is a known Red Wing model. Despite the wear, this is a nice addition to a Red Wing collection..
