Antique Jesus Christ King Chromo Litho Print in Ornate Gold Gesso Frame

This is wonderful antique chromo litho print of Jesus Christ standing on the world and holding a sceptre in his hand and wearing a crown on his head - the flaming Sacred Heart is shown on his chest. Chromo lithography pre-dates photo lithography and was an expensive process because each color had to be registered separately as opposed to a four color photo process registration - many more copies would be ruined by off-registration due to the number of print passes necessary and the tendency of paper to stretch with additional print passes. The advantage of chromo lithography is that the colours tend to be brighter and more attractive than process colours. This print is under glass in a gold gilt gesso frame that is ornately detailed. The frame measures 14 by 19 3/4 while the open image area measures 10 1/2 by 16 1/2. The piece is in very good condition - a slight bit of white paint on the right side of the frame (see last close-up photo), just needs a bit of re-touching. The piece is difficult to date precisely, but I would think circa 1900.
This is a wonderful image of Jesus, not common, with lovely colour and representation, very rich looking in the gold gilt frame.
