Antique Frosted Glass Dresser Box Enamelled Pink Floral & Gilt Decoration c.1900 6.5"
This antique frosted glass dresser box features a rounded form with a hinged lid, decorated in hand-painted enamel. The design consists of pink floral sprays—resembling bleeding heart blossoms—paired with outlined gilt foliage, arranged asymmetrically across the lid.
The glass has a satin finish, giving it a velvety appearance that contrasts nicely with the gold detailing and enamel work. The box is fitted with a gilt brass hinge mount, allowing the lid to open and close securely - care should be taken as the lid can tilt the piece if it is empty.
Pieces of this type were commonly produced in France or Bohemia around the turn of the 20th century, often as part of vanity or dressing table sets.
