Antique British Bowler Hat Union-Made Royal Warrant Sz 6 1/2
$95.00
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This well-preserved antique British bowler hat features an interior leather sweatband stamped “Superior Quality,” and a British union label (AJFH / FHT&WF), placing its manufacture between the late 1890s and 1920s.
Uniquely, the satin lining bears the Prince of Wales’s feathers badge, signifying that the maker held a Royal Warrant during the heir’s tenure. The badge’s clean, simple design suggests it corresponds to the period when George V held the title (1901–1910), or possibly into the early part of Edward VIII's time as Prince (1910s). This aligns well with the construction and union-era dating of this antique British bowler hat.
