Antique Bedouin Tribal Bracelet Silver Cuff Yemeni Nomad Jewelry

This is a beautifully detailed silver cuff bracelet that would have been used by a woman of a Bedouin tribe, most likely from the Yemen area of the Arabian Peninsula, around the turn of the century. The piece tested positive for silver, albeit a lower grade than sterling. The piece is in very good condition - some creasing/denting on the interior, but I believe that this is original to the making of the piece. The opening measures 2 3/4” by 2 3/8” while the cuff measures 5 1/4” by 4 3/4” and has a thickness of 1”. It weighs 6.7 oz.
Please note that this is a large bracelet and on most women would be worn slightly up on the arm.or perhaps worn with a smaller bracelet to keep it from dropping to below the wrist.
This is a wonderful piece of tribal jewelry....large dramatic piece that is sure to be noticed.
