Antique 1920s Porcelain Pincushion Doll Nude Flapper Figure

This is a 1920s porcelain pincushion doll that is attached to its original padded rectangular cushion and styled in a classic flapper pose. This 1920s porcelain pincushion doll features hand-painted details, including rosy cheeks, red lips, and a green headband accenting her molded blonde hair. She reclines seductively, her head propped up by one arm with the other arm outstretched, unclothed, but covered with a metallic gold lace skirt that matches the lace trim on the cushion. The cushion is covered in faded pink silk with metallic lace trim and small pink rosettes with green leaves.

Condition: This 1920s porcelain pincushion doll is in excellent condition, but the cushion has staining and patina taken on from exposure over the years as well as a small fray hole at the back, visible in the photo of the back.  The trim is all intact.

Despite the condition of the cushion, full 1920s porcelain pincushion dolls like this, with an arm extended away from the body, are very desirable and the cushion gives the doll context.  Nice addition to a collection, or simply as an antique display piece….
