60s Vintage Peau de Soie Evening Bag Made in Italy for Birks

This elegant vintage peau de soie evening bag was crafted in Italy exclusively for Birks, one of Canada’s most prestigious luxury retailers. Peau de soie is a high-quality silk satin with a subtle ribbed texture. This vintage peau de soie evening bag has a slim, structured silhouette with a softly flared base and a firm rectangular top. It is accented with a polished gold-tone metal frame and chain handle, which may be gold plated, in keeping with the elevated standards of Birks’ accessories.  It has a spring loaded bar clasp.

The interior is lined in black satin and includes a matching coin purse. Stamped in gold lettering: “Made in Italy for BIRKS.”
