1990s Vintage Guy Laroche Dress White Cotton Sportswear Sz M

This is a wonderful vintage Guy Laroche dress dating to the 1990s.  This vintage Guy Laroche dress was made in Italy as part of the Guy Laroche Sportswear line.  It has a shirt style collar, two breast pockets, a pocket built into either side, full cut elbow length sleeves with button down cuffs, and a skirt that is gathered below the waistline in tucks so that it falls fully in pleats.  The dress is open at the front and does up with eight translucent yellow buttons.  This vintage Guy Laroche dress is made of unlined white cotton and has a wide white belt.

Label: Guy Laroche Sportswear Paris.  Guy Laroche (1923-1989) was a renowned French designer who began his career in 1949 working for Parisian couturier Jean Desses.  He established his own fashion house during the mid-50s and was one of the first French designers to create separates.

Sizing: US size 9 is indicated on this vintage Guy Laroche dress, but please note the following measurements for fit (your body measurements should be smaller, or measure a similar garment that you own):

Shoulders:  19” across the shoulder/sleeve seams

Sleeves:  13 1/2” from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam:  8”

Bust: 40” around, taken under the arm openings, should fit loosely 

Waist: 26”-27” around

Hips:  42”, meant to fall loosely

Overall length: 40", measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition: This vintage Guy Laroche dress is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odour.  This dress looks like it saw little use, and was very well cared for over the last number of years.
