1970s Vintage Crombie Overcoat Pure New Wool Coat Size L

This is a 1970s vintage Crombie overcoat that was made in Canada using Scottish Crombie pure new wool in a camel colour.  This vintage Crombie overcoat has high set wide notched lapels and four button double breasted front.  There is a flapped pocket at either side.  The shoulders are squared and padded and the sleeves have two buttons at each cuff.  This vintage Crombie overcoat has a 20 1/2” kick vent at the back and the coat is lined in a champagne gold satin fabric.

Label: Pure New Wool Cloth by Crombie of Aberdeen, Scotland Reg’d. 

Tailor’s label:  Creation Battista 4236 E Ste. Catherine Montreal.

Sizing: No size is indicated on this vintage Crombie overcoat as it was custom tailored, but it should fit a size large, probably a US size 42 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, either comparing them to another coat that you may own or more should you wish to wear a suit jacket underneath this vintage overcoat:

Shoulders: 18 1/2” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 25 1/2” long from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 16”

Chest: 47” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 44”

Hips:  48”

Overall length: 42“

Condition: This vintage Crombie overcoat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odour - a couple of tiny surface nibbles, not at all noticeable.  This coat looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.
