This is an original issue of Art • Goût • Beauté, the influential French fashion magazine / periodical published by the textile firm Albert Godde-Bedin & Cie. This edition is No. 78, 7e Année (7th Year), dated Février 1927, and features exceptional pochoir-coloured fashion plates illustrating leading couture houses of the late 1920s.  It consists of 38 pages plus cover - the pages are both in pulp and coated papers.  There are two advertising inserts also present.

The cover artwork presents two women in designs by Paul Poiret, rendered in brilliant pochoir (stencil) colour. Inside, the issue includes an outstanding selection of fashion illustrations, couture sketches, advertising plates, textile samples, and articles on Parisian style, trends for spring, jewellery design, and accessories.

Couturiers represented in this issue include Poiret, Molyneux, 1Philippe et Gaston, Beer, Worth, Premet, Martial et Armand, Jenny, Doucet, Lelong, and others. The advertisements feature notable houses such as Joseph Paquin, A la Reine d’Angleterre, Wilmart, Worth Parfums, Ybry, and Rigaud. A small mounted textile sample from A.G.B. is also present.

Printed on fine papers with pochoir colouring throughout, this magazine exemplifies the luxury and artistic quality associated with the publication. Pages are string-bound, with the original patterned endpapers intact.

Approx. 12 1/2” x 9 ½”

Condition:  In very good condition with expected age toning especially to the uncoated paper towards the back of the book (see last close-up photos).  One of the fabric sample tip-ins has a turned corner.  Interior pages remain clean, bright, and richly coloured. The pochoir plates retain strong saturation. String binding is intact. Overall, a well-preserved example for display or collection.

A rare and visually striking 1920s fashion publication, ideal for collectors of Art Deco fashion, textile history, and early couture illustration.
