Vintage Hermes Silk Scarf Jeu des Omnibus Hugo Grygkar 35”

$275.00

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is an authentic vintage Hermes silk scarf titled “Jeu des Omnibus et Dames Blanches”.  The design on this scarf was the very first one ever produced by Hermes, taken from an antique board game owned by Emile Hermes, and originally designed by Hugo Grygkar.  This is a more recent re-issue, dating, I believe, to 1987, but still a beautiful quality Hermes silk scarf.  I have not been able to find this particular colorway, so this would be a wonderful, and less often seen, addition to a collection.

This Hermes silk scarf has been issued in a few different colour combinations - this one is in background tones of brown, bronze and ochre gold with detailing in green, muted orange, brown, black and white.

Label: The label on this Hermes silk scarf reads “Made in France 100% Silk Dry Clean Only” - printed within the design is “Jeu des Omnibus et Dames Blanches”, “Un Bon Joueur Ne Se Fache Jamais”.

Sizing: 90 cm - 35” by 35 1/2”

Condition: It is in very clean condition with no signs of wear except for a couple of light spots in three areas (see last three close-up photos) and a very slight scent of perfume.  The marks and scent should disappear with a professional dry cleaning, but no guarantees.  Sorry, but no box.

This is a wonderful vintage Hermes silk scarf with a historic design in a colorway not usually seen…. 100% authentic!
