Vintage 1960s Mens Raincoat w Striped Lining Croydon Sz M L

$95.00

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a wonderful vintage 1960s mens raincoat woven in a fine checked pattern.  This 1960s mens raincoat is made of a water repellant poplin fabric, probably a treated cotton, but might be a blend, I’m not sure as there is no content label.  It is made in a simple style with small squared collar, hidden button front, except for the neck button, and with a diagonal pocket at either side.  This 1960s mens raincoat is lined in a striking multi-coloured broad striped shiny taffeta-like fabric.  It has a kick vent at the bottom back and a button-down tab belt at either cuff.

Label: Croydon.  Croydon was a trademark of Canadian manufacturer Warnaco of Prescott, Ontario.  They began in 1874 as the maker of Warner’s corsets, and evolved into a multi-channel apparel company.  Croydon was filed as a trademark in 1964.

Color: Green with black checking

Sizing: There is no size label on this 1960s mens raincoat, and although it should fit a medium to maybe a large size, probably a men’s US size 40/42, please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  20” between shoulder seams

Sleeves:  24 1/4” long from the shoulder seam to the cuff

Sleeve Inseam:  16 1/4”

Chest: 45” around

Waist: 40” around

Length: 46” measured flat from the back collar seam to the hemline

Condition: This 1960s mens raincoat is in very clean condition with no signs of wear, tear, staining, soiling or odour - it looks like it saw little use.

This is an easy to wear 1960s mens raincoat - wonderful lining!
