This is a 1950s vintage men’s suede leather fringed jacket.  This type of fringed jacket was popularized during the mid-50s by the television series Davy Crockett. The jacket has fringe applied across the chest, the upper back, the sleeves, the bottom and along the top of each pocket situated at either side.  It does up with three leather buttons at the front and is fully lined in a two toned fabric that is woven with a motif.

Material: Suede leather,  soft not stiff, very good quality

Sizing: No size is indicated on this fringed jacket, and although this should fit a man that wears a small size (about a US size 36), please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  17 1/2” across from the shoulder/sleeve seam to the other shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 24” long from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 16” long

Chest: 40”-41” around, taken under the arms

Bottom: 39” around

Overall length: 28”, including the fringe, measured flat. 24” without the fringe, measured at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This fringed jacket is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, marking, staining or odour, looks like it was seldom used and well stored over the years.

This is a wonderful 50s suede fringed jacket – you don’t see examples like this very often, especially in this condition!
