This is a late 1950s overcoat, made early 60s, made in a blend of wool and cashmere.  This 1950s overcoat has high set medium width notched lapels and padded shoulders.  It has a three button front and has a flapped pocket at either side as well a 16 1/2” centre kick vent at the bottom back.  The sleeves are finished with turned half cuffs.  This 1950s overcoat is half lined in blue satin fabric.  The fabric is tightly woven in a medium weight so should be suitable for winter us.

Sizing: No size is indicated on this 1950s overcoat, but this should fit a large size (probably a US 42-44), depending on preference for fit and whether you will wear a jacket underneath - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the wool into consideration) and note the sleeve length:

Shoulders: 19” across shoulder seam-to-seam 

Sleeves: 24 1/2” from shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 15 1/2” long

Chest: 47” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 47” around

Overall length: 43 1/2”, measured from the back neck seam to the hemline

Condition:  This 1950s overcoat is in very good condition - no pronounced wear, tear, soiling or odour.  This has been well cared for and stored over the years.
