Vintage 1950s Strapless Evening Dress w Lace Net Insets Sz M
$295.00
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This is a vintage 1950s strapless evening dress featuring a black and beige colour scheme. The bodice of this 1950s strapless evening dress has a chevron pattern created by alternating bands of black lace and netting against the beige taffeta base fabric. The skirt is full and voluminous, created by alternating triangular panels of black taffeta and chevron patterned lace insets matching the bodice. The overall silhouette is characterized by a cinched waist and a full skirt. I posed the dress with a crinoline under the skirt to create a fuller look - no crinoline is provided, and although a crinoline is recommended, the dress could be worn without one. The bodice is supported with stays (see 3rd to last close-up photo) and the back does up with a zipper. There is no label.
Sizing: There is no size label, and although this 1950s strapless evening dress should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit:
Bust: 17” across, so at least 34”, but because of the cups and the open back, possibly larger
Waist: 29”
Hips: Full
Length: 43 1/2”, laid flat from the top of the bust to the hemline
Condition: This 1950s strapless evening dress is in very good condition with the exception of a couple of small breaks to the netting on the skirt, very minor (see last two close-up photos). Otherwise, no notable staining, soiling or other defect.
