1980s Vintage Frank Usher Dress Gold Lace & Black Velvet M

$150.00

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a wonderful 1980s vintage Frank Usher dress.  Frank Usher was founded in 1944 and specialized in using high fashion designer dresses as inspiration for more moderately priced models offered under the Frank Usher label.  Designers such as Christian Dior and Ossie Clark were copied and by the late 60s, the Frank Usher label had become very popular, especially subsequent to the late 60s movie Blazes Away starring Dame Maggie Smith, which featured wardrobe designed by Frank Usher.

This vintage Frank Usher dress is made in a strapless sleeveless style with gold lace short jacket that I posed tied at the front, although I think that you could just let it hang.  The dress is made in a mid calf length and has a long gold lace peplum that starts at the V shaped hip line and goes down both the front and back, hanging in drapes.  The dress is lined in black acetate and the bodice is supported by stays.  This vintage Frank Usher dress does up the left side with a nylon zipper.
