This is a wonderful 1940s ski jacket made of lighter weight brown wool.  The label reads “Hobby Togs by Philmac Sportswear Inc” - Philmac was located on St Alexandre St in Montreal. This 1940s ski jacket does up with a Lightning brand brass zipper diagonally positioned to the left - Lightning is a Canadian brand of zipper.  It has padded squared shoulders, button up cuffs, a button-down flapped pocket at the right and a long pointy collar.  There is a gold toned H and a T at either point of the collar, which stand for Hobby Togs.  It is unlined.

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this 1940s ski jacket should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior, noting that if you need to wear a sweater underneath, it would be more appropriate for a small size:

Shoulders: 16”

Sleeves: 23” from shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 17” long

Chest: 42” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  38”

Bottom:  42” around

Length:  24”

Condition:  This 1940s ski jacket is in excellent condition with the only defect being that a left side dart is a little unstitched and would need a few stitches - otherwise, no noted defect, this has been very well cared for over the years.

This is a rare 1940s ski jacket, lightweight, almost like a heavy shirt - you don’t often see these!
