This is a quality sterling silver bracelet made in Taxco, Mexico. The bracelet is constructed of eight links, four each of two different shapes, each with oxidized grooving. It has a tongue and groove catch and a safety chain. It is difficult to date precisely, but I would think 1950s, maybe early 60s. The catch is stamped with two number 3 Eagle assays marks and with 925, Sterling and JS within a circle. JS is the mark of the silversmith but I have not been able to identify him. The bracelet has an inside circumference of 7 3/8, a width of 1/2 . It is fairly heavy for its size and weighs 39.5 grams. It is in very good condition but has some white silver polish residue in a couple of the grooves and a bit of tarnish in places.
This is a very nice quality Mexican sterling silver bracelet - classic Taxco!
