This is a chrome-plated tea strainer used on the RMS Mauretania, a passenger steamship operated by the Cunard-White Star Line. There were two Mauretanias - the first was in service from 1906 until 1934 and then the second Mauretania that was the first ship built by the merged Cunard-White Star line. It was in service from 1938. She saw very little passenger service before being used for troop transport during WWII. She resumed passenger service in 1947 and was retired in 1965. The tea strainer has the emblem of the RMS Mauretania enamelled and affixed to the front of the perforated bowl. It measures 6 1/4 in length and is in very good condition. Note that the crest on this piece is that of the Cunard-White Star line.
This is a nice collectible piece - please view my other listings for more Cunard collectibles.
