Vintage Pressed Glass Banana Boat U Shaped Cake Stand LE Smith Diamond Point

This is a vintage pressed glass banana stand, aka fruit stand or U shaped cake stand, made by L.E. Smith in a Diamond Point pattern. It measures 7 5/8 in height and the bowl measures 10 3/4 by 7 1/8 across its top. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear - the glass has very nice clarity. Im unsure of the age of this piece - some people on the net date this pattern to the 50s, but I couldnt find a banana boat and I feel that this must be older. L.E. Smith was founded in 1907, so this easily could date to the 1910s or 20s. In any case, a very attractive piece - great to display your bananas or other fruit
