Vintage Ice Bucket Chrome w Cherry Amber Red Bakelite Handles by Glo Hill

This is a vintage ice bucket made of heavy chrome metal with cherry amber bakelite handles (dark background with red highlights). The ice bucket was made by Glo-Hill of Montreal, Canada. Glo-Hill was founded in 1946 by Leo Globus and Harry Hill and produced tableware and barware under the the Glo-Hill brand name through the 1950s and 60s, ceasing operations during the 1970s. The ice bucket is in very good condition, but missing its lid - these often go missing as you generally dont use them as the bottle normally surpasses the top. The ice bucket measures 7 3/4 in height, has a top diameter of 7 1/4 and weighs 2 lbs and 5 oz.
This ice bucket is great for chilling wine and champagne - nice quality and wonderful mid-century look!
