Vintage FM Konstglas Sweden Glass Bird Figurine Signed

This is a wonderful vintage glass figurine or paperweight made by FM Konstglas of Ronneby, Sweden. It is made in the form of a bird with its beak sticking up in the air. The piece is white glass with blue and brown spotting cased within clear glass. The piece is signed on its underside with FM Ronneby Sweden. It is measures 4 3/4 high, 3 1/2 long and about 2 3/8 wide. It is in very good condition with no chips, nicks, cracks or wear. FM Konstglas was founded in 1961 by Josef and Benito Marcolin, brothers who had learned glass making on the island of Murano before moving to Sweden in 1954. They are known for figural glass. This is a wonderful figural bird - nice display piece!
