Vintage FC Deruta Pottery Charger Platter P Tania Hand Painted Cherub 14

This is a hand painted charger made in Italy by Deruta. The centre of the piece features a winged cherub holding a bowl of fruit overhead. The scene is signed P. Tania. The Tania family consists of renowned artists from the San Gimignano area of Italy, and their work is highly desirable. The piece measures 14 in diameter across the top - note that the piece has some depth to it, like a shallow bowl. It is signed on the underside with F.C. Deruta. It is in very good condition - two small glaze flakes on the edge, very minor (view the last close-up photo). Any other tiny imperfections are original to the making of the piece. There is a hook implanted at the back of the charger should you wish to hang it on a wall. This is a wonderful display piece - excellent Deruta quality!
