This is a wonderful collectible miniature jug featuring the emblem of Certosa di Firenze, a monastery with a long history dating back to the 14th century. It was one of a number of monasteries built by the Carthusian monks, known for the production of the liqueur called Chartreuse, the recipe for which is a secret to this day, known by only two monks of the order. I believe that these miniatures were sold at the monastery gift shop and are considered to be collectible. They were made by various well known Italian potters.
This jug is decorated with the AR symbol with Certosa di Firenze written below and with bees and a snake to either side. It measures 7/8 in height and has a diameter of 1 1/4 across its bottom. It has a few small chips to the top lip and a shallow chip to one side of the handle (see photos). Despite the damage, this miniature jug displays very well
This appears to be rather uncommon. I think that it is an older example and should be a nice addition to a collection!
